Driving nights in Vegas means eating at strange hours. When the clubs let out and the rides slow down, a lot of drivers I know head for the food trucks parked in lots across town. Tonight’s stop: Hibachi Time LV, a hibachi truck cooking on the flat-top well after dark.
The Stop
- What: Hibachi Time LV, a Japanese-style hibachi food truck
- When: Late night. Online listings show the truck serving into the early morning hours.
- Where: Food trucks move. Online listings put it at 3616 Spring Mountain Rd, but call before you drive over.
- Call: (702) 883-8372. The truck also advertises private catering.
What’s on the Grill
It’s hibachi plates cooked to order: chicken, steak, shrimp and filet combos with the sauces you’d expect. Online reviews praise the friendly crew and made-to-order food, while some say quality varies from night to night. It’s a late-night truck, not a sit-down teppanyaki show, and prices run like a casual dinner, not fast food. Check the current menu when you call.
Driver’s Tip
If you’re a visitor, a ride from the Strip to Spring Mountain Road is short. Spring Mountain is also Chinatown, so if the truck has moved, you’re surrounded by late-night food anyway. If you’re a local, save the number. Plenty of us live on late-night food between rides.
