Here’s what’s happening around Las Vegas on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, and what it means if you live here, visit, or drive for a living.
A Waymo robotaxi got hit in a 3-car crash

Police responded around 5:14 p.m. Tuesday to a three-vehicle crash near South Decatur Boulevard and Nevso Drive, in the southwest valley. One of the cars was a driverless Waymo. Waymo told FOX5 it was a “secondary” crash: two other drivers collided first, and the Waymo, which was turning left from Nevso onto Decatur, was then struck on its front side. No riders were inside. Injuries weren’t known Tuesday night, and several lanes were blocked for a while.
Driver’s take: driverless cars are now part of everyday Las Vegas traffic, and like this one, they can end up in crashes other drivers cause. Leave space at intersections no matter who, or what, is behind the wheel.
